Expert Corner: Dr. John Rigg, Caring Doctor, Medical Director for NeuroRestorative Georgia

At NeuroRestorative, we are honored to work alongside VA Medical Centers around the country to serve Veterans, Military Service members, and their families. We provide medically intensive subacute and after-hospital rehabilitation services for brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other neurobehavioral and neurological challenges.

We understand the importance of having a healthcare provider you can trust in your most vulnerable moments. That’s why we look at the whole person and are dedicated to providing programs that the VA Team can use to produce identifiable and sustainable outcomes. We also work with individuals on a plan of care that targets spiritual, social, cultural, and environmental influences and preferences. In addition, we make it our priority to help families stay connected and influence positive relationships at home.

We know that Veterans’ experiences following a brain injury are unique. We help people who also experience:
• Anxiety and depression associated with changes following injury
• Adjustment to disability and out-processing from military service
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Cognitive challenges
• Behavioral and emotional challenges
• Family disharmony
• Physical limitations and challenges

The continued connection to a Veteran’s VA Medical Care Team is essential for ongoing recovery. NeuroRestorative ensures that each Veteran patient’s care team is given the opportunity to participate in regular care plan reviews and that communication with the Veteran, family and VA Medical Center is well supported. We are truly honored to participate in their recovery journey.
