Aurora Wong, M.D., M.S.H.A. Medical Director
Dr. Aurora Wong serves as Medical Director for NeuroRestorative programs in Sarasota, Florida. As a physician leader, Dr. Wong has a passion to better healthcare through empowerment and education. After receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, she earned her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2010. Dr. Wong extended her interest in healthcare policy, operations management and quality improvement, earning an Executive Master of Science in Health Administration at the University of Alabama. She is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine.
Dr. Wong has served as Section Chair and Department Chair for several rehabilitation hospital systems and has lead results in innovative therapy, governance and policies designed to enhance stroke and brain injury programs and strengthen multidisciplinary teams’ effectiveness. As president and founder of Advanced NeuroRehab PA, Dr. Wong provides professional advice as a medical consultant and medical reviewer.
An active leader, Dr. Wong is committed to community engagement. Currently a Florida State University College of Medicine Clinical Associate & Mentor, she also enjoys organizing community events and festivals that bring people together. During her non-working hours, you can find Dr. Wong swimming, playing volleyball, badminton, tennis, or practicing golf and violin. Dr. Wong’s alter ego is Wonder Woman.
