Shawn Rowles, M.D. Medical Director, Maryland
Dr. Shawn Rowles graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) with a degree in Biochemistry. He then went to the University of Nevada School of Medicine (UNSOM) for medical school. Dr. Rowles completed a Pediatric residency in Las Vegas, NV, with UNSOM, followed by a year with the same program. He loved taking care of children with complex needs and was a hospitalist and Associate Professor with UNSOM. Dr. Rowles later became the Section Chief of Hospitalist Medicine at UMC Children’s Hospital. He worked with the school and as a hospitalist for over ten years before moving on to other areas of pediatric medicine.
He enjoys helping in underserved communities and especially with the Hispanic and Native American populations. He has experience with mental health in children and adolescents and helps cover at an inpatient psychiatric facility. He enjoys working in the hospital when needed and does hospice/palliative care in the community. Taking care of special needs children is a passion of his, and that is why he loves being the Medical Director of NeuroRestorative 4 Kids at the two facilities in Las Vegas, NV.
