Sarah’s compassion and leadership skills make her invaluable to the Georgetown program, which she has served for nearly three and a half years. She has a thorough understanding of how family involvement impacts participant quality of life, and she goes out of her way to ensure that each participant’s family is as involved in care as possible, often making multiple calls to make sure that everyone is on the same page. Sarah’s coworkers describe her as an excellent person to have around during a crisis. During a challenging moment recently, Sarah accompanied a participant to the hospital and stayed well beyond her scheduled shift to provide comfort for the individual in her care.
