Mary Gonzales, M.D. Medical Director, Texas
Dr. Mary Ann Gonzales graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (EE) and worked as an engineer for several years. During this time, she obtained her Master’s degree in EE from UT Austin. She later went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the combined Baylor/UT program in Houston, TX. After completing her residency, she joined the Baylor/UT department of PM&R as an associate professor. She returned to Austin in 2004 and has worked predominantly in inpatient rehab hospitals as well as providing consults in SNF, LTAC, and acute care settings. She currently serves as the medical director at NeuroRestorative Rehab in Austin.
